monstera is a tropical plant from the Araceae family. its name, as one might guess, comes from the Latin meaning “abnormal” because of its odd-looking, perforated leaves that are often punched through with holes.

great for indoors and can be grown in pots with soil or hydroponically, monstera always look lush and can add a tropical vibe to any space.

find a balance between sun and shade. if monstera is given too much sun, the leaves will yellow. if it’s left in the dark, the plant will exhibit something called negative phototropism, where new leaves grow towards the dark, rather than the light. (it’s a pretty clever trick: in the jungle, darkness signals the presence of a larger tree that monstera can climb up to reach sunlight.) since this isn’t possible in a living room, indirect sun is best.

water monstera moderately and evenly, about once a week. wait until the soil is fairly dry before watering again. keep in a fairly humid environment.

to curb excessive growth, avoid re-potting too often and prune regularly by pinching off new growth.

The products we are able to ship vary, but as a guide, we generally do not send the following via post:

Delicate or temperamental plants or plant-containing productsLarge or heavy productsAny products not meeting the criteria of what is able to be posted

Products that are able to be shipped will be packaged with protective insulation and covering in the smallest package possible. Plants will also be enclosed with damp sphagnum moss or similar to protect from dehydration and will be shipping without soil. We recommend paying for express postage for plant orders to minimise any risk of damage to the plant via post.

We can only facilitate delivery of non-shippable orders within the Perth metro area.

We offer local delivery to addresses within 30km of our Subiaco location. Pricing for delivery is based on distance and order value - delivery fees are reduced for orders closer to our Subiaco location and orders with higher total order values. Orders up to $120 have a delivery fee of between $10 - $20 and all orders over $120 are free.

There are three days on which we deliver orders - Tuesday and Saturday daytime and evening and Thursday evening. We will aim to deliver your order within 3 delivery days of the order being placed - please contact us if your delivery has any restrictions such as time of day someone is available to receive the order or access to the delivery point.

Orders are able to be picked up at no charge. If you have selected pick up of your order, please contact us to arrange this in advance. Pickup is at our Subiaco, WA location and can be arranged any day of the week.

All orders containing shippable products only are able to be posted and will either be posted or delivered within 3 delivery days of the order being placed. Delivery and pick up of shippableorders will be the same as for non-shippable orders, and shipping will be via tracked registered post via Australia Post or Sendle. The arrival of your order, if posted, will then be subject to the postage service delivery time.

Orders containing shippable and non-shippable items checked out at the same time will be treated as one order, unless we are contacted to consider them otherwise, and are only able to be delivered to addresses within the 30km radius. If the address is outside this radius, the non-shippable products will be refunded and the remaining items in the order will be processed and shipped.

International orders are only able to be shipped if the whole order is shippable. If any items in the order are non-shippable, they will be removed and refunded, and the remainder will be shipped. We recognise that countries have varying quarantine restrictions and specific processes that may need to be adhered to relating to importing plants. We do not, however take responsibility for researching these restrictions and assume that the buyer is aware of these if they are applicable. We accept an order from another country as an indication by that buyer that the plants they have purchased are able to be shipped into that country, unless we are notified otherwise.
